Dorothy shared 53 beautiful years with her beloved husband, Bill Bangert, a retired Navy sailor, before his passing in 2008. Together, they built a life full of love and adventure, raising two sons and witnessing the growth of their family, which now includes five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In 2015, Dorothy embraced a new chapter by selling her home and moving to a retirement community with her loyal French Poodle, Miss Dixie.
